SweetTo0th's : Design Student Portfolio Review

Portfolio is considered to be one of the major essentials for many artists and designers to showcase their work. Therefore, in this blog, SweetTo0th is going to reveal the portfolio use to apply for art universities. We hope this blog would help young designer in considering apply their portfolio for art schools.





1. Mirror Mirror ; Wall Sculpture



"Does beauty define by the appearance?" "Then what is actually true beauty?"

This project reflect the idea of how beauty shouldn’t be judged based on external appearance. As we believes that what is more important than appearance is your inner self. Therefore, through this work, mirrors are used as the medium to give offs reflection effect towards the audience. As well as using flower decorations to represent beauty.





2. Wanderluck ; Display Design



As I am particularly interested in astrology and auspicious colors. Therefore, we decided to design a display box based on auspicious color and fortune symbols. For the display box, user can see the lucky color chart and auspicious symbols in order to mix & match the t-shirts and accessories for their daily look.





3. Antsterpiece ; Experimental Art



This work is an experimental art using organic material. In which I use ants as the medium in creating the artwork. For the process of this piece, we gradually drip nectar in order for the ants to come one by one, creating a spectacular artworks. There is a QR code in which you can scan to see the full version of the work.





4. Pink Childhood ; Painting


As I want to recreate the story of our childhood. I decided to convey our childhood memories through oil paintings on polaroid films, in the concept of pink sepia which represents past memories along with using pink to represent the happiness and love we experienced throughout the childhood.






5. Grib a Dip ; Board Game Design


For this project, I want to collaborate Thailand’s well known childhood toys and western’s all time favorite board games together in order to create a fusion board game where players would use dibs or mark geb (Traditional Thai toys) as the game materials. The game missions the board game were also inspired by signature gameplays of mark geb as well.





6. Sandy ; Conceptual Photography

This work illustrates the story of an imaginary friend during my childhood, who named Sandy by creating her figure as if she was actually existed. Photographic series of events of things we have done together was taken to reflect the scenes of our childhoods.





7. Perfect Imperfect ; Painting




For this painting, I want to convey the idea of people can do art and express their creativity regardless of how the end result will looks perfect or not. Sometimes imperfections can turns into perfection.





8. Tie Die Sky ; Tie-die




For this art pieces, I want to experiment with tie-dyeing techniques to create a pattern of northern lights. As northern lights are considered as rare things that we could see with our own eyes. Therefore, tie-dyed technique were used to create the pattern and texture that are similarly to the northern lights.





9. Unicorn Anatomy ; Art & Crafts




As I am a unicorn lover. Therefore, I want to create arts regarding to my preferences, by making a unicorn toy anatomy box with unicorn organs inside. The organs of unicorns were create from various toys and crafts, metaphorically represent my personalities which are similarly to unicorn.





10. Pop Pop Pop! ; Art Workshop




Soap Bubbles are considered to be one of the things that I like to play a lot during my childhood. And what I've always wanted to try is mixing bubbles and various of colors to create art pieces. At first, I experiments the art by myself at home. as I was satisfied with the result, I decided to make it as an exhibition and workshop for other people everyone to experience the arts using soap bubbles.





11. Fitwave ; CI Design




This a CI Design for a fitness camp on the beach, Fitwave. The project consist of logo that represents the fitness concept as well as operate identity through fitness equipments for member who attend this fitness training.





12. Pizzanality ; UI Design


This project was inspired by my favorite article. In the article, the writer have compared various MBTI personalities with pizza toppings. Therefore I was inspired by the comparison and develop those informations into pizza delivery app based on MBTI test results of the user. The user can take the MBTI test and the test results would be process into pizza topping in which users can deliver them to their houses.
